Welcome Dogs!

February 8, 2011

The days are beginning to speed by, and we’re getting closer to spring break 2011! As of right now, we’re less than a month away. Everyone’s beginning to get stoaked for the fun times in Daytona Beach.

Most people own dogs, because they’re fun loving animals and great friends, but during spring break, what happens to them? You don’t want to leave them home alone. Make sure you get a pet sitter if you’re not willing to watch over them for the week or two while you’re gone.

But if you want to bring your pup on the adventure, bring them down to Daytona Beach! There are plenty of parks around here for him/her to have fun at. Close by as well, is a dog friendly beach called Lighthouse Point Park, located in Ponce Inlet which accepts people and their dogs.

Barkley Square Dog Park, Seemore Dog Park, and Happy Trails Dog Park are dog parks close by Daytona Beach! They all offer special fenced in areas for different dogs to make sure there are no problems.

Make sure you choose the right hotel/motel by making sure they’ll accept you and your pet for your time staying. The worst thing would be arriving and being turned down.

Nothing sounds better though then sharing a wonderful time down here in Daytona Beach with your best companion!

Daytona is better!

February 4, 2011

Why choose Daytona?

  • Everyone’s nice and friendly here! You might as well party with some well-rounded people.
  • The temperature is always great. Daytona’s temperature is an average of 75 degrees in March, and normally warmer than other cities in Florida, like Panama City.
  • We have the best clubs in town, including Razzle’s!
  • There are plenty of things to do during the day, including day trips. You can head to Orlando or Tampa for the day to visit a theme park or various shopping malls, then come back to party!
  • The values of hotels are affordable and not ridiculously high.
  • It’s closer! Why continue to travel south for hours when you have the World’s Most Famous Beach right here?
  • A variety of events are going on including Spring Break Nationals, Reach the Beach, races at the Daytona International Speedway, lots of contests and more!

Reach the Beach!

February 2, 2011

Every year during spring break, the biggest cheer and dance competition takes place at the Daytona Beach Bandshell. It’s called Reach the Beach Daytona Nationals and it takes place on March 19th, 2011 this year!

Reach the Beach will definitely be the talk around town. The competition offers routines made up from teams who have high-flyers, talented tumblers, and outstanding dancers which will WOW the crowd!  Family and fans are welcome to enjoy the high spirited crowd and the outstanding beach right next door.

If you need a break from the competition, there are always shops and plenty of areas to eat around the Bandshell which will catch your interest.

All of the teams entering are eligible to make it to the U.S. Finals. You’d be surprised at what some young people can do! Come out on March 19th and experience the Reach the Beach Daytona Nationals!

Lets Grab a Paddle!

February 1, 2011

As well as surfing, paddle boarding is quite popular in Daytona Beach. You can take on any waves while paddle boarding. When the waves are a little more on the calm side though, more people gather together with their paddle boards and go out for a good time.

Paddle boarding is a sport in which you stand up on the board, and use a paddle to move yourself along. It’s a family fun event that everyone can take part in.

In Daytona Beach, there’s Three Brothers Boards, where they sell the best quality paddle boards around. When you’re in town, you can also get lessons and rentals and have fun with the rest of the paddle boarders!

Three Brothers Boards shop is located at 3184 South Ridgewood Ave, Suite, South Daytona, FL, 32119. Check it out while in Daytona Beach!

Daytona Beach Parasailing

January 27, 2011

Everyone needs a little adventure in their life, why not during spring break? With a great view over the city, the beach, and all of its visitors, you must experience the adventure of parasailing.

Not many cities offer this, but luckily Daytona Beach does. Parasailing is when you’re gliding through the air while being towed behind a vehicle, normally a boat. You are safely put in a harness, which is attached to a parachute. With your feet dangling in the air, you feel like you’re flying!

Daytona Beach Parasailing is one of the most successful Parasail operations in the business. Their staff consists of people with years of experience which know exactly what they’re doing. Flights begin at 800 feet, and progress from there. You can stay at that level, and drift over the ocean, or shoot up to 2000 feet in the air for an even bigger thrill.

This is an adventure you can either experience by yourself, or with up to two other people! There are five different flights to choose from, so there’s a choice for everyone.

Straight off of their website, you are able to purchase tickets and gift certificates in advance. Enjoy one of your days in Daytona Beach with Daytona Beach Parasailing!
